Spazio Musica
Who We Are
Founded by Gabriella Ravazzi and Manlio Palumbo Mosca in 1978, recognized and sponsored by the then Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, Spazio Musica is a non-profit organization.
The Masterclasses for instrumentalists and singers, held by the most famous international teachers, welcome every year young, promising participants from all over Italy, Europe, USA, Russia, Korea, Japan, China, South America, Israel, Egypt and Australia.

Opera and Concert Season
Founded in Liguria in 1978 as "Teatro Tempo," the organization that would become "Spazio Musica" in 1984 has produced in recent years more than 1000 shows in which have involved, in addition to prestigious teachers and stellar students, notable international artists.
For the concert series, we mention among many: the flutist Severino Gazzelloni, the pianists Jorge Demus, Alexander Lonquich and Massimiliano Damerini, the cellist Michael Flaksman, the orchestras of the soloists of Prague, the Soloists Aquilani, the singers Paolo Montarsolo, Gabriella Ravazzi, Louis Alva, Katia Ricciarelli.
For jazz, names like Steve Lacy, Mal Waldron, Giorgio Gaslini, Barry Harris, Clifford Jordan, Renato Sellani, the Miami Jazz Band.
Since 1995, Spazio Musica has extended its activity from Liguria to Orvieto, an Umbrian town of great artistic traditions, in the beautiful architectural context that is the Teatro Mancinelli, a nineteenth-century jewel where are performed the operas prepared by the Opera Workshops and signed by world-famous directors such as Beppe De Tomasi, Paolo Micciché, Massimo Scaglione, Stefano Vizioli (Metropolitan in New York, La Scala in Milan, Regio in Turin and Fenice in Venice).
In these years at the Teatro Mancinelli in Orvieto have been produced and performed with great success dozens of operas, among which we remember "Le Nozze di Figaro", "Don Giovanni" and "Così fan tutte" by W. A. Mozart, "Il Matrimonio Segreto" by D. Cimarosa, "Cavalleria Rusticana" and "Zanetto" by P. Mascagni, "La Cambiale di Matrimonio", "Il Signor Bruschino", "Il Barbiere di Siviglia", "Cenerentola" by G. Rossini, "Suor Angelica", "Gianni Schicchi", "Tabarro", "La Bohème" and "Madama Butterfly" di G. Puccini, “L’Elisir d’Amore” ed “Il Campanello” di G. Donizetti, “Il Telefono” e “Amelia al Ballo” di G. C. Menotti, “Falstaff”, “Un Ballo in Maschera”, “Rigoletto”, “Il Trovatore” e “La Traviata” di G. Verdi, promoting the debuts of young artists, singers, conductors, and répétiteurs from various European and non-European countries.
International competitions
The International Competition for Opera Singers is at its 30th edition and has introduced into the world of opera dozens of young singers.
The International Competition "Luigi Mancinelli" for Opera Conductors has reached its twelfth edition and at its inception filled a gap in the field of conducting competitions, being one of the few in the world reserved for opera.
It boasts a jury of the highest international level and the participation of many candidates from all over the world.
